Ghana has not felt food

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Sheikh I.C. Quaye, has said Ghana has been spared the acute food and fuel shortages that have hit many countries in the world due to the foresight and sound economic policies of the NPP Administration.
He said it was the same economic policies and strict adherence to good governance practices that had put the nation on a right footing to attain international recognition.
Sheikh Quaye said this when he led a number of NPP youth on a health walk through some principal streets of Accra as part of the region’s campaign for the 2008 polls.
He said Ghanaians were very discerning and would definitely compare the government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) which supervised the decay of the economy and the human-centred administration of President J.A. Kufuor, and make their choice.
He said the NDC was afraid of their past, the reason why they were of the view that there should not be any comparison of records.
Sheikh Quaye said because of the good work of the NPP administration, people could publicly share their view on the administration of a sitting government without fear so, “Ghanaians would not make the mistake and vote back the NDC”.
He said the next NPP government to be led by Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo would build on the achievements of the Kufuor Administration and take the country to the next level of industrialisation.
He said the NPP government considered the youth of the nation as the best asset, hence the deliberate move to ensure that they had quality education, health care and employment.
Sheikh Quaye noted that the next government of Nana Akufo-Addo would judiciously use the proceeds from the oil to supplement other sources of revenue to develop the nation and create sustainable employment for the youth.
